I avoided the media "hype" regarding the current health crisis, but with recent supensions of major events, it's a GREAT TIME to prepare your team and yourself for the possibility of working "virtual".

Ameriprise has already taken care of the technology required to work "virtual" - since all AFG advisors use the Cisco VPN client to create a secure connection to HQ, you may connect your Ameriprise - managed PC to almost any internet connection and conduct your business as you do in your office.  You should, however, consider:

--Check your WebEx subscription - if you don't have one, there's a link on Advisor Compass Microsoft Teams was recently installed on your PC's as a replacement to Skype For Business --Do you have a GOOD webcam and headset? Here's what I use: Google the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema (or Studio).  Logitech USB headsets for full high-quality audio. >>Are you portable?  This doesn't necessarily require that you have a laptop PC, but laptops may prove more convenient than moving desktop PC's and monitors to an alternate work location.

--I can assist you in purchasing retail that meet minimum requirements and loading with the Ameriprise software package, often at significant discount to EasyOffice.  --Refurbished Dell and Lenovo laptops meeting current minimum requirements with even deeper discounts are also available from various retailers. --If you're not ready to purchase a desktop PC "replacement", consider an additional desktop setup: monitor, keyboard/mouse combo, power cable, ethernet cable or wifi adapter for your desktop PC.

--Supply lines are strained (ie Dell after Nashville tornado, etc.), so don't wait on this. Not all >>Ameriprise on-line resources are available when connecting with your non-Ameriprise-imaged PC.

--The following require Cisco VPN (Ameriprise full software installation, including Symantec anti-malware, DLP (Data Leakage Prevention), and Bitlocker encryption required):

Thompson One, MoneyGuide Pro, (your Comp Statement....) --initial/periodic login to Microsoft Office 2016 (365) with full Outlook, Box Drive or Sync, and others.  >>Do you still share folders between PC's on your office's local network?

--I can assist you with uploading those files and folders in bulk to BOX, allowing you full collaboration with your team. Ameriprise recently advised against printing away from your secure Meraki network.

--Be prepared to "Print To PDF" so that you may save your work until you are connected to the printers on your secure network .  BOX will simplify this workflow. >>Discuss with your RP the necessity of registering your alternate work address,

--if your team will be spending more than 40% of your time away from your registered office.  Your Registered Principal will make the final determination on location requirements. CLEAN your PC REGULARLY !!!

--Clorox wipes (and a "can of air" to dust internals) will go a long way towards keeping you and your PC running coooooool....... I carry this stuff around with me - invite me in when you see me!
